I have been exclusively pumping since my dd was born 12 weeks ago. I started back to work yesterday and am allowed 3 - 15 minute pumping sessions during the day. I'm worried I will lose my supply because it takes roughly 7 minutes for my let down leaving me about 5 minutes to pump. The 15 is from walking in to walking out.

Any suggestions as to what is causing the slow let down or how to speed it??

Have you tried taking videos or pictures of your baby on your cell phone and looking at them while you pump? Or maybe taking a blanket or shirt that smells like your baby with you?

Kellymom has some good tips on this. :)

Agree with PP. Also could you have a reminder set for about 5mins before your break and from that point start thinking about your LO and breastfeeding, and start un-thinking about work issues. It is probably switching from work mode to Mum mode that takes the time.

I know it may be an awkward conversation but maybe you could speak with your employer and they would allow you an extra 5 or so minutes to make sure you have adequate/reasonable to time to pump?
