sma or soy???

archie started off of aptamil 1st then 2nd and it didnt fill him at all and make him sickly so i changed him to cow and gate plus and tbh hes not much better he still suffers bellyache all the time he can bottom buurp for england sometimes loudly embarrassing when we are out people look at me like its me lol

his poo is v v smelly kind of sour smelling and pretty runny so am now thinking this milk doesnt suit him either

his dad when he was a baby couldnt tolerate cows milk and still cant it makes him windy

so am thinking now whether too put him on sma or to bypass this altogether and give him soy

i cant really speak to the hv about it as she is a waste of space she is newly qualified and didnnt even know silent reflux existed(some things you just cant learn from a textbook lol) and she is really condesending and treats me like i know nothing lol its my 4th baby

what would you do???

You can try the soy milk as you mentioned DH had an intolerance to milk it self your bub might be the same .

But dont switch all at once mix it with his other one for 2 weeks until his belly gets used to it ..do you know if they looked into reflux with you LO?

they havent as yet but this is what im thinking it might be am going to go to the gp on tues i think i cant take much more of this hes screaming through every sngle bottle now

Go GP they will run some tests Jacob is lactose intorlant and hv was shit but went doc he sent us to specialist who confirmed it now he is on LF milk XxxX
