Smudging?!?

I have a question for you ladies- I cant add a pic right this moent but will shortly. I took an IC this morning and right away the ink smudged right from the sample well to just about the control line. My question is, this occured as the urine passed along the test and appeared immediately even before the urine reached the control line. Im kind of confused about this, I always thought that the appearance of colour anywhere before the control line indicated that HCG was present as it caused a chemical reaction with the reactant in the rest of the test. Has this happened to anyone? What was the outcome? Any insight?!? Thanks in advance ladies, you rock!!!

On ICs, the dye will move from the urine collection area all the way to the handle. It happens every time, but if you wait 2-5 min (as indicated in instructions) the test area will be white with/or without line. There is a pocket of dye near the urine collection area, this is what they are designed to do. Did the dye stay in the test area?

well there is dye in the test area, its just saturated with dye like a big smudge, you can sorta see a line but Im not sure if its a result of the big smudge!

I had one like this, there was a line but was so hard to tell beneath the 'smudge'...tested again and bfp xx
