so, contractions every five minutes... but im not ready! UPDATE!!!

Well, I am 37+4 today, and had a doc appt this morning. Joked about the fact that I was full term and could go at any time... well tonight my contractions started up as normal, but have gotten more intense and closer together. Thing is, I was sure I had at least a few more days left and hadn't really prepared! My bag isn't packed, didst have all the laundry done... with both of my girls I had a false alarm a few days before the real thing, so I am pretty convinced this isn't it.

But hubby is doing the right thing. We are dropping off our girls with my mom, and then going home to finish getting rdy and shower and stuff. I just can't believe this might be it. I also had a fast labor with my first, and I am gbs positive so I'm supposed to have antibiotics four hours before delivery. So I'm worried about that

It was the real deal! We walked around a supermarket for almost an hour after dropping off the girls. I was still sure Lo would wait another day at least! We went home, I took a nice bath and relaxed, but contractions continued to gain in intensity but not frequency. Hubby watched some tv but said he wanted to shower. I told him he better do it soon!

While he showered, I had to poo.. I was a bit scared at this point because the contractions were so intense and that pressure usually means pushing, but I tried anyway and had some success. Five minutes after Hubby finished his shower, my waters broke during a big contraction and there was no denying it then! I'll post a proper birth story sometime tomorrow, but little Landon Patrick was born at 1:35am on his sister's bday!!!! We are doing ok so far, but will probably need to stay for observation until Monday morning.
