It is 7 am right now...I got woken up at 6 am by my parents saying my basement is flooded. 3 inches of water. Brand new carpet and electronics RUINED. AND it hasn't even gotten to the bad part of the storm yet. It is supposed to storm ALL day! This not what I needed to happen. I am supposed to be moving my room and the nursery into the basement. We already built the nursery and we were going to start painting next week.

We have gotten rid of A LOT of the water but the rain just keeps coming and getting worse. So please just pray for me that it doesn't get worse.

P.s. I feel so bad I am not much of a help because I can't do any heavy lifting. Right now my job is just to watch the puppies. I wish I could do more though because my brother can't help since he has a broken elbow. I hate having them do all the work when they have done so much already.

I'm in PA and we're getting pounded with rain too. There's two tropical storms it's getting picked up from.

That doesn't sounds good though hon. =/ Do you guys have a sub-pump? I'd be nervous staying down there with the baby if you're not sure it's water tight, especially with winter coming. When all the snow melts you can easily get flooded again, not to mention that you'll probably end up with mold.

Yeah I am in Cecil County, Maryland and it's getting hectic out there. My backyard is like a swamp and I heard someone talk about letting schools out early for flooding!

And I'm getting quite frustrated because my cable keeps going out

Yeah we have a sump pump but for some reason it wasn't working this morning but we got it working. I trust being in the basement because the last time this happend was like 10 years ago. And this past winter we had like 4 feet of snow and our basement was fine. So I guess it is just this storm. Also from all of that we somehow didn't have any mold problems. Thankfully we are pretty sure our insurance will cover it so we can replace everything. The water never went past like 3 inches so I think it will be ok. We just have to be on constant gaurd with it.

We are having someone come check everything to be POSITIVE it wont happen again so I think it will be safe having the baby down there...which is good because there is no where else to put the baby. There isn't room anywhere else.

I haven't even been able to see my back yard yet. Our back yard is is like normal but then goes into a huge hill so we can't see past our pool, but the bottom of the hill is usually like a lake from rain. I was actually kinda suprised they had school. I would so not want to be on a school bus without seatbelts in this weather. I haven't even tried turing my tv on yet because of all the noise my parents are making.

BE CAREFUL! I just saw there was a tornado watch in Cecil County until 1pm so be careful! I know I will be praying for everyone in this mess.

I'm in Frederick County MD and its been pouring all day too...thankfully no flooding over here yet. Hope it gets better for you and sorry about the flooding you've already had :(

it's raining in georgia, but nothing severe.

Oh just wait, I'm sure itll hit you!

My town is on the Delaware River so our entire area is under a flood warning until tomorrow morning. Some local schools are closing early and all schools have after school activities cancelled.

I have to get up to the hospital, which is 40 minutes away, by 4:30. I'm really hoping the roads to get there aren't flooded.

Burchy I hope you guys are able to get everything out, insurance covers it, and when it's checked for safety it all clears!

Vinteenage I hope the roads are good and you get there and back safely and everything is well.

My friends are actually stuck in school because of the tornado warning.

I just found out we have a team of people to come clean and fix everything in the basement and the insurance is covering their work so my parents can stop doing so much which is good we got professionals.

Well I live on a hill so the chances are low for exactly where I am for us to be hit but thanks! The schools here closed early at 12

realy hope it all gets sorted okay but dont stress sweet you abd baby certainly dont need that xx
