I don't know what the 'norm' is or how many outfits babies and kids tend to have. But I'm a serious shopaholic. My kids (nearly 1 and 2) could probably go 2 months without wearing the same outfit twice depending on the weather.

I need to cut down in the next size really as running out of wardrobe space. So how much do you think is the norm? I don't really have any issues with them growing out of clothes fast because my son is tiny and is in the same clothes for which feels like forever and my daughter is in the same clothes for like a year at a time now xx

My daughter is older, but I would say we only have enough that I can get through about 5 days without needing to do a wash. So like she has more than 5 tops (she has probably about 10), but maybe only 5 pairs of trousers at any one time that are seasonally appropriate, or only maybe 3 jumpers. She also only has 3 pairs of pj's (which is better than before when she only had 2). So even though I don't completely run out of everything too often, I definitely do wash every 3 days just to make sure I have enough, because sometimes I need a specific jumper or run out of her messier clothes that I would send her to nursery in and not be too upset if they got ruined. I am definitely the opposite of a shopaholic though and actually hate shopping and spending money on clothes, so try to avoid it as long as I can! Probably to the point of putting her in things she's maybe a little bit grown out of just to avoid shopping for more. Fortunately, she's also tiny, so most things last at least a year before she grows out of them.

I wouldn't like to even guess, but in the last fortnight ive tsken 12 bin liners of clothes to the clothes bank- and the wardrobes are STILL full 😁 so obviousky far too many!

Both of mine have way more clothing than I do :haha:

We usually have about 10 sleepsuits/jammies (we buy 3x 3 packs and we usually end up with gifts)
Maybe about 20 vests?
One jacket (sometimes more if someone has gifted us one)
Lots of knitwear as family knit for her a lot. Usually about 10 at a time but that is way too many!
Maybe about 15 t-shirts/tops
About 5-6 pairs of leggings.
At least one "nice" dressy outfit (not always a dress, but usually a dress!)
Maybe 3-4 casual dresses

My kid is a total midden though, we go through three outfits a day easily and a clean sleepsuit every night (usually 2) - she is sick constantly and dribbles through her bib, or she gets dirty from crawling. I do a full load of her clothes every.single.day.

We do get quite a long time out of her clothes, she's 9 months and is just into 6-9 months stuff, still wearing some 3-6 months too.

All of what we have bought is cheap. Asda for most of it, or the Next "multibuy" stuff where you can get two tops and two pairs of leggings for £15. We also shop in the sale and buy bigger sizes - I just bought her loads of summer stuff in 12-18 months for next year, it averaged about £1 per item for leggings and tops. I love shopping for her but I hate buying expensive things for her as she is a total midden!

Too many :haha: Off the top of my head, she has around 14 sleepsuits, 25 vests, around 15 pairs of leggings/trousers and probably around 15 tops. That doesn't include the vast amount of dresses, outfit sets, cardigans, jackets and shoes

My baby is only 7 weeks and outgrowing things fast. She has about 8 onesies that she wears and that fit. I do laundry everyday.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I guess they do have way too much compared to everyone else's answers.
Went through my sons wardrobe today and he has about 16 pairs of pants. 10 pairs of long trouser dungarees. 5 short dungarees about 15 t shirts. 7 jumpers. 3 jackets. 2 coats. 20 baby grows and about 7 vests. And has about 10 Spanish outfits for best.

My daughter probably has about 30 every day dresses. 5 dresses for best. 20ish pairs of leggings. 2 jeggings. 4 pairs of jeans. 3 or 4 fancy tunic shirts. 2 pairs of chino pants. 3 pairs of long leg dungarees. 2 short leg dungarees. 3 pinafore dungarees. 20 t shirts. And about 5 pies of pyjamas but desperately need more as she wets through them at night.

I have gone mad. I need to stop

I have two boys and they both have sooo much!!!
My oldest is almost 4, youngest is 8 months.
I kept a lot of my oldest sons clothes so YDS has a lot of his old things but they still have a lot of clothes collectively. I am a hoarder and I have hardly gotten rid of much of their old things. If our next baby is a girl we will get rid of most, probably give it to charity or to friends.

I have NO idea :haha:

She has a wardrobe that's very full and a 3 drawer chest of drawers full... This is what her clothes looked like before she was born, haven't taken any pictures recently though and she's definitely acquired loads more since I was 39 weeks pregnant  - she's now almost 5 months old so you can imagine.

WAY more than me!

My DS isnt a baby (2.5) but he has tons. Almost too much lol.
I just buy so many clothes for him then I never have the heart to get rid of any of it! We just rotate his closet every few months and put away the stuff he doesnt fit in anymore.

My oldest probably has 20 T Shirts, 15 Long Sleeve, 8 pairs of pants and 5 Hoodies, 2 Outdoor Jackets for each season, 2 Hats...but he did/does not grow fast.

For our youngest we bought very little clothing and mostly neutrals since they grow so fast in the first few months. It has been a great decision. I can combine every piece thanks to buying mostly neutrals. He is 3 months and owns: 3 T Shirts, 7 Short Sleeve Onesies, 2 Long Sleeve Onesies, 2 Long Sleeve Shirts, 2 Overalls, 7 Cardis/ Jackets, 4 pants, 2 shorts. That includes items from his older brother.

Oh wow! I cannot imagine having that many clothing items... I am a SAHM so money is tight for us on one income, so my kids really only have about 4 outfits each per season that just get rotated. They are too young to know or care, so it's no big deal I don't think. I just buy enough that they have a few changes of clothes so that some can be in the wash and they still have enough to wear that is dry. It's all they actually need. Plus DS2 is wearing mainly hand me downs as it is handy having two siblings of the same sex for saving money. As they get older and start to care what they're wearing i'll try to budget some more for their clothes, but for now it is not necessary.

I just sorted through my stash of newborn to 6 month size to donate, and I had about a half dozen of each item in each size. Filled a huge bin!

I love shopping for my boys and husband, so they have too much. My older son gets a lot of hand me downs but I still buy things even though he doesn't need them. Kid clothes are just so fun. Unfortunately, he's pretty picky about what he wears, so despite having 20 t-shirts, he wears the same few over and over...

Not much. Right now he has 6 short- sleeved onesies, 3 long- sleeved onesies (i buy these cheap packages of that come with 3 inside) a few pair of pants, a sweater jacket, and a raincoat.

For the upcoming fall/winter, I plan to buy him a new winter coat as he outgrew his last, another one of those packages of long sleeved onesies, one or two sweaters, and a new pair of pants.

Money's tight, but even if it weren't, I still don't think I'd buy much more than that. I'm not a minimalist, but I do like to keep such things simple.

Loads.

I've just cleared out her first size/ tiny baby and newborn.

At a guess in 0-3 I'd say she has 25 sleepsuits, 15 vests, 7 cardigans and easily at least 20 outfits.

Probably more tbh.

See, we both work, and 4 outfits would be impossible for us. I don't have a dryer and my wee one can easily go through 3 outfits in a day! That being said I never buy anything full price for her unless its cheap to start with. I have also stored all her clothes for younger siblings/cousins.

We got loads of newborn stuff which I exchanged for bigger sizes, and for her first Christmas we didn't buy her much, but bought loads of clothes to last her through her first year.

Its nearly her first birthday and we have spent about £25, we have got her a dish set, a toy, a book, a M&S three part dress set (dress, long sleeved top and tights) two pairs of Next leggings, two next TShirts, two Asda t shirts and two pairs of Asds leggings.

I think its obscene the price people pay for baby clothes. £40 for a dress that will only fit for 2 months and probably be ruined? No thanks!

Both mime have a ridiculous amount of clothes.... more each than me and oh put together..... isabelles (she's 4) I physically can't fit any more in.

I've been trying to condense it down but getting no where
