i have my d&c tommorow and i am so scared and upset, it is really making it real to me no more hope that maybe someone made a mistake along the line .

Hope its not to personal but any of you who have had the procedure what were your experiences so i can be prepared.

Oh sweety, I am so very sorry to hear this. Just to reassure you, I had a d&C last Thursday. To date, I have had very little pain, only when I go for a number two . I have had some bleeding but this is far lighter than my normal period.

The procedure itself does not take very long.

I'm personally not even sure how long the procedure took as I was completely put under and woke up in a recovery room and from there taken to my regular room. After the procedure I was super tired and ended up sleeping for a long time before being discharged.

For me, waking up was the scariest part. I didn't know where I was, I felt empty inside, I was more aware of my body because I felt violated in a way. The next week or so I just felt somewhat sore on the inside, my thighs had deep muscle pain as if I'd be working out heavily but I read this is from how they are positioned throughout the procedure. I also felt flu-like for a day or so afterwards but that is an effect of the anesthesia wearing off all the way.

Try not to be scared. You'll get through this. I'm so, SO sorry for your loss. I know it's so hard. I know words won't help but I wish you good luck. I hope everything goes smoothly.

good luck for 2moro, I had one in aug, in the same theatre my son was born , you will be knocked out for the procedure and you will have slight cramping and bleeding after, i will be thinking of you xxxx

hello i had it done 2 weeks ago. it was a very long day. Try not to worry, you will be out asleep. I was gone for 1 hour and a half, felt ok when i came around, and crampy wasnt much bleeding afterwards, im here if u need to chat anytime, goodluck and i will be thinking of u tommorow xxxxxxxxxxxx
