Hey ladies,

I keep having nightmares ;0(

To be honest I have not had a good birth experience. My first was an emergency c-section. The epidural did not work properly so I could feel them cutting so they knocked me out.

2nd baby was an elective c-section - once baby was out I could feel them cutting etc, so they kept topping spinal up. It was a horrible experience and I was so sick afterwards. Also it took so many attempts to get the spinal in and i had so many electric shocks ;0(

3rd baby again the spinal wore off so I had to be pumped with drugs leaving me feeling so very sick. i was given cyclezine to reduce sickness and had an allergic reaction and almost died.

I am so scared now to have this baby. I wish I could just be put to sleep! do you think I could?

i think under the circumstances that it would be a gd idea to explain your fears and ask to be put to sleep.
im sorry you have had such a rough time with your births :hugs:

If you are terrified of having the spinal they will give you a general, my friend was so scared of the spinal she asked to be put to sleep and said she would do it again.

can you not ask for an epidural? its exactly the same as a spinal but its a constant supply. mine wore off pretty quick when i had my spinal, but atleast it lasted the 1hr surgery.

hey Jasperjoe,
i am also about to have my 4th c-section in just under 6 weeks. i feel very very nervous. i feel absolutely terrified this time round compared to previous times. i think I would be more terrified if they put me to sleep rather than staying awake, that would be more of a fear to me. I m sure they would put you to sleep if you told them of your fear but i think it would be more safer for you if you were awake x

I'd rather be asleep, I also felt cutting. I guess she was trying to make sure I was numb but 2 weeks later a chunk of my skin fell off. It was nowhere near my c-sections scar, I was so upset. Im going in for my second c-section in 9 weeks im on edge.:nope::cry:

I've had 4 c-sections. :)

Due to your past experiences i think that you could make a very good case for being put under!! You can always ask hun. x

I don't mind at all!! :) DH and i will hopefully be trying for another next year. Just let them know before you go in for it that you would like to know if your body would be okay having another. I was told that although i had scar tissue and adhesions i am okay to go again. I refused the tubal last time, but i will get one next time i think.

thankyou sausages (like your name) for your advice. i will do that. I'll have a word with my consultant before I go in. i would have done it this time round, its just that i want a boy but I have manged to have all girls, this baby is also a girl. Not that there is anything wrong with having a girl, just wanted a boy. Best of luck for when you try to ttc again xxx
