Well, I spent today basically seeping. I woke up really early andmy hubby made me breakfast in bed before he went to work. I then fell back to sleep, then finaly got out of bed! I slobbed in front of the telly for a bit and snoozed again. I then dragged my tired butt into town, but that was short lived as I was too tired to shop! So I came home and guess what????............... I fel asleep on the sofa! I still feel like I haven't slept for a week!
I know they say you feel tired in the 1st Tri, but this tired? And will it stop soon?????:sleep::sleep:

It usually ends for most women by the beginning of the second trimester. I was extremely tired in first trimester, it's gotten better (I still find myself needing more rest than before though).

I hope your energy level improves! For some women, the tiredness really takes over. Take it easy and if you need to rest, then rest!

Unfortunately, my kids and hubby don't allow me to be tired :(

I guess it's different with every person because I don't feel tired at all...I did before but not anymore. It will stop in the 2nd trimester, don't worry.
Your husband is very sweet..

I know where you're coming from, but mine always wore off by about 10 weeks.... the major tiredness anyway..... I do still feel tired, but not to the point of literally just falling asleep whilst talking to someone !!! :)

I've been surprised at the level of tiredness too. I just dragged my butt out of bed after a 2.5 hour nap 'cause I HAD to go to the bank before 4 but now all I want is to crawl back in.

I spent the day trying to sleep as well, but I never really get a nap, so I feel like I am constantly falling asleep on the couch. My poor family.

I was very tired too in the 1st. Now i´m in the 2nd tri i don´t feel AS tired, but still get tired easily. That and the constant need to pee, which in itself is exhausting!!!

OMG! I have never, ever been as tired as I am lately. My Mum warned me about the tiredness, but it seems to be all consuming. Have trouble getting through even half a day without feeling exhausted.
It's particularly difficult at work cos by about 3pm I feel so drained and my brain (never mind my body) just seems to switch off. But haven't announced my pregnancy at work yet so it's getting harder and harder to explain why I'm so tired. My boss just seems to think I'm still up to my old partying lifestyle, and he couldn't be further from the truth! lol

I'm the same. On weekends I have to have a couple of hours kip in the afternoon just to recover from the morning. I had a massive arguement with my OH yesterday cos he keeps taking the mick due to me sleeping all the time....if men became pregnant they'd expect the world to stop!!!!!

I am not as bad now, but earlier on I wanted to do nothing else but sleep. By 2pm I was ready to put my head on my desk and snooze. Weekends, forget it, nothing got done, I would get our of my pj's and into my slob clothes, sit on the chair with my feet up and spend all day doing to following:

Watch TV
Sleep
Toilet
TV
Toilet
TV
Sleep
Sleep
Sleep
Toilet etc etc etc

This went on for 3 weekends in a row, but I can say it's not as bad now. I do tend to snooze when I get ion from work, till about 7 then make tea. Cant' sleep longer than that cause I wouldn't sleep at night plus Bulgarian Pop Idol is on at 8!! LOL. I am now waking very early though, usually between 4 and 5 am, although slept till 9 on Sunday but one day last week was 3!!! Not good at all.

A friend of mine a few years ago had to take time off work cause she was falling asleep at her desk. Luckily her boss was very understanding, she took 2 weeks holiday and slept through most of it. Anything from 15 - 20 hours a day!!

have u been tested for anemia hun??
im always tired and have a severe case, better to b safe than sorry

Hey Mummy Channon
Are you asking me or the original poster?? :) I will be mentioning it, well OH will cause I don't speak the language, and tell him about the lack of sleep.
