Just wondered seen as we are fast approaching xmas day and also leading up to the day people get together to enjoy a festive drink and food etc. I'm in two minds wether to have a couple of drinks I mean I know a couple can't help but I don't want to carried away, lol!

What are all you gals gonna do?

I'm planning on drinking! Should be oing just after christmas so I reckon I will be ok with a few drinks but I won't go too overboard - I hope!!!

I usually get stuck as the 'designated driver' on Christmas day,.....so no drinks for me.........my otherhalf gets back from overseas on the 29th though , so, am going to get a bottle of wine as we are also getting engaged ont the 30th, what better excuse to have a glass or two.........or three or four!!!hehe

My kinda girl I'm not sure what to do i ovulated yesterday. And when i got pg it was the only month i drank in the 2ww so was getting preg related to drinking cos i was more relazed or did the drinking cause the mc? I'm not sure when i mc i also had a fever which i know can cause it in itself? And i stopped drinking as soon as i got a faint line? I don't know what to do, if i'm preg i would love not to drink but i dont want to miss out on over xmas to find out i'm not even preg? Decisions decisions. 1 or 2 isnt an option for me i'm an all or nothing girl

I am going to Las Vegas for Christmas (flying out Christmas Eve) and if the Clomid decides to work this month then I should ovulate whilst I am there. They say you ovulate 5 to 10 days after your last pill. Five days would be Christmas Eve. Ten days would be 28th. I have not yet ovulated on Clomid, that I can tell, but I had a questionable month the first month I was on it. Going on that, I ovulated (or didn't) on the 4th day.

So....for the entire time I am there it is Potential Ovulation Time. So what do I do?

I wouldn't worry about a few drinks. The embryo doesn't start feeding off the blood supply until you're approx 5 weeks pregnant, by which time you will most likely be aware that you are pregnant.

Having said that, I don't know whether I'm going to drink or not. I had a glass of wine a couple of night's ago, and it just didn't taste very nice, so I might not bother...

I am deffo going to have a few... don't ovulate till after Xmas. New year may be a different matter tho..... will have ovulated but really don't fancy a dry new year's eve!

Even tho i have ovulated ill have a few at least the question is, is do i book a taxi or not? Like Max says they dont live off ur blood supply till week 5 and ill know if im pregnant before 4 weeks so i'm sure it's pretty fine. Just avoid getting so drunk u throw up or have a headache the next day.

Im not too far behind you CurlySue...according to what you just said (about ovluating after taking last pill)... my 5th day after clomid would be 27th and 10th day would be the 1st...So I say im fine to have some yummy !! Whoohoo!!

Hey Daisy, I like your thinking. I think I might adpot your approach... at least for this cycle. Crimbo and NYE will be difficult enough surrounded by everyone else's kids and pregnancies.... why try and suffer through it stone cold sober!

I shall be indulging in a tipple or 2 and I would still do if I was due to O over xmas .... sometimes life cannot be ruled by TTC.

I will be drinking!!!! I am drinking!!! haha! I like what someone previously said: you can't let TTC run your life. I need to be responsible but I just got a negative so I definitely can have several drinks and not risk harming a baby.

I certainly plan to have a few even though i have just ovulated, as someone else said, getting that plastered you can't stand up is maybe not a good idea. It won't affect your chances of conceiving and it might be good for you to let go and enjoy yourself. Feeling uptight and stresed is far worse (I think anyway). HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

I'm going to have a couple. I make myself designated driver to go round and see family and then when back home have a few with dinner. I OV Christmas Day and I'm also trying to watch my weight for my wedding so a couple of reasons not to go mad.
