I'm invited to a friend's engagement party on 23 June 2013. Baby is due on 22 June 2013. The invitation is on facebook and there is the option to accept, decline or say maybe.
I don't really like using the maybe option on facebook, because I know when I have planned events and people have said maybe, it makes it hard to plan numbers.
I might go overdue and could possibly attend the party. I'm not sure how I will be feeling at that point though.
How would you respond?

I'd say 'maybe' and post a comment explaining that it's very close to your due date and you'll be there if you can! Then if baby does come late you can go for a few hours but maybe not the whole thing if you get tired. People will understand.

If they use Facebook for an event like that they need to expect a certain number of people not to respond or to put Maybe. Personally for an engagement party I think a Facebook invite is a bit casual - if they need to know exact numbers they should be sending invites with RSVP's or contacting people directly.
