Soft Spot

So she's got a really big soft spot on her head, even the nurse said its a bigger one. I'm scared to death everytime I touch it. Problem is, most of her cradle cap is built up over it and I'm scared to touch it to try to slough it off with the kit I bought! Can I hurt her if I try to work it off? I'm only doing it gently obviously but I'm scared I'm going to really hurt her.

No, you dont need to be gentle with the soft spot. You just treat it like the rest of her. You can't hurt her unless you really try to.

My tom has a shunt in his head and the only way i have of checking it isnt blocked is to feel his soft spot. Even the doctors can be quite rigourous with it and he doesnt flinch
