Sorry just a rant,
ive got 9days left and weve moved into our new house 6 weeks ago with a morgage and my partner came home lastnite to inform me that he has been made redudant.... how can someone do this? The works dried up so theyve give him a week? What the hell is a week? This also means if he does find a new job he wont be able to take 2 weeks off with me and our little girl!!

Anyone else been in the same situation?
We have very supportive family who would not let us struggle but i thought all the stress of moving house, weve decorated throughout in 4weeks and thought these next few days wouldnt be stressful.... x

hi hon

didnt want to read and run. My OH was made redundant the week we found out I was pregnant and it totally took the shine off things so I kind of understand.

Check his contract and find out what statutory redundancy he will be entitled to, as well as contacting citizens advice re benefits and check out direct.gov re benefits as well.

Really hope things work out for you . Big hugs xxx

Oh no hun :hugs:
So sorry to hear that. Not got much advice i'm afraid, went through redundancy myself late last year so know how stressful it can be but I wasn't pregnant then so not quite so harsh.
Hope things work out for you and your OH.

I'm really sorry to hear that, let's hope things start to improve for you soon and he will find a much better job, sending you lots of love and :hugs: xxxxx

That sucks :(
So sorry, I hope you get through this, try not to let it put too much of a downer on things XxX

Sorry no advice but ((((((((((hugs)))))))))
Id do wat PP has said. Check his contract and go to cit advice . Do it all now and take EVERYTHING you can get .
It will be sorted.
stay strong

Thnakyou everyone, he got made redudant when i was 13 weeks pregnant aswel and found a job within a week, luckily enough he has a trade so im keeping my fingers crossed.... Thankyou everyone xxx

oh thats crap sorry to hear that, does your mortgage insurance cover unemployment I know when my step dad was made redundant they claimed off the insurance and got their mortgage paid for them.. perhaps he could look for a job in the meantime but not be abvailable for work until a couple of weeks after baby, maybe claim benifits for a little while whilst looking, speak to CAB, Im sure everything will work out for you, things just have a way of doing so xxx
