something disturbing I saw yesterday

I was watching TV, ok, nothing wrong with that. I saw this commercial or whatever that lets little girls pole dance. I think it was from Canada... tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a poor decision? I mean, I don't have children myself, but I wouldn't want my child to go out and take that class.

Pole dancing has become the new fad exercise. It's actually very good exercise. I'm not advocating pole dancing for kids, just saying there are good things about it too.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with it if it's done in the right way. I don't think children wear skimpy outfits etc. If you take the whole strip club thing out of it which children shouldn't know about, it's just a bunch of little girls trying to swing round a pole. Idk it looks like a fun way to exercise to me! But I can totally see why people think its a bad idea

I used to do pole dancing (not the dancing kind) and oh my it works out every single muscle in your body..Ones I didn't even know existed were hurting me for over a week afterwards so it is amazing exercise..And it's the only type of exercise I've done and loved every minute of. There was nothing skimpy about it it was shorts and t-shirt so I don't personally see anything wrong with it providing it was a female only environment at the time of it happening..Men being there would make me a tad uncomfortable.x

As above. I used to pole dance (exercise) wearing gym clothes as it was done in a gym. I'd love love love to get back into it and set up my own pole fitness studio. However I don't think currently its right for kids.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I really want to go to pole dancing classes because it looks like a fun workout.

I think it depends on what they make of it. As a kid I can see why it would be fun. Dancing with a pole - and its a good work out.

Sexual pole dancing however is obviously completely different.

To be fair, it could be considered an art so if done tastefully, I don't see an issue with it.

I don't care about adults doing it, it's just something about children doing it that I can't hack.

I don't think its neccessarily a bad thing either. Its a really good exercise and if you watch videos of pole dancing competitions its not really slutty or sexy or anything, just an amazing show of strength.

I guess it can be good exercise but it can be hard to separate it from the sexual pole dancing too, so I guess a lot wouldn't be comfortable with it

i used to pole dance (exercise class kind) and its much good fun and wasn't sexual in anyway it teaches you all about core body strength its actually an amazing workout. if i had a daughter i wouldn't mind providing it was the same class content i had at pole fitness xx
