So i have slight confusion about EWCM versus arousal fluid. Here's what i've noticed. I don't know if i actually ever have true ewcm or if its just really weird arousal fluid. I have noticed the ewcm looking stuff a few times right before bd. But the thing is it only happens around the time my phone app says i should be ovulating usually a few days after it says i should have. I don't chart or temp or use opks so i dont know if i actually am ovulating or not. Normally when i am aroused it just feels wet or watery but normally around when it says i should be ovulating i notice this ewcm literally hanging out of me when we get ready to bd. I have noticed i can even stretch it out about three inches between my fluid. I read that arousal fluid doesnt stretch like that. But i don't check my actual cervix so i dont know if it is being spawned from my vagina or my cervix. How can i tell which one it is?

What you've described is pretty much the textbook definition of EWCM, so I would guess that's what you're experiencing--especially if it only occurs at a specific time during your cycle.

The other way to tell is to stick your finger up there some other time of day when you're not necessarily aroused, and see if you have any of the same type of fluid on your finger. If you do, then it's most definitely EWCM.

CM comes out of the cervix, whereas arousal fluid comes from the Bartholin's Glands located on at the opening of the vagina (not from inside your vagina). If you wipe yourself clean on the outside and then check your cervix, you will come out with EWCM if that's what it is. If you're only getting fluid on the outside, then you're just aroused. Your description sure sounds like EWCM to me!

Yay... i wasn't sure but i guess it is then because i don't experience it most of the time when im aroused just like once a month and only for a day or two at the most... that just made me so happy. i know it doesn't necessarily mean im ovulating but i know that its a good sign

Well I've never personally done the checking of my actual cervix during the time it comes out but i know it usually on lasts a day or two and its only like that once a month any other time im aroused its just watery. and dries up super quick.

Yep, my EWCM dries up fast. I might have loads of it one day (TMI, sorry!), and it'll be 100% gone when I wake up the next morning. I can always tell which day I O by the day it dries up...my temps confirm it, so it helps a lot with BD timing each month.

Yeah i noticed i only see it literally maybe one night and then i don't see it again for a month and i know its not semen because we usually haven't bd in a few days or more when i have it. Perhaps im ovulating.... well i mean i dont know for certain im hopeful maybe i can get my bfp soon... fc
