As the title says, anybody thrown up brown stuff? Usually it's horrendous heartburn followed by vomit. Slowly getting over a cold but this is a new one for me and it's got me worried. Got Docs tomorrow.

Def see your doctor especially if its coffee coloured. I'm almost a qualified nurse and that needs a dr's opinion. Try not to worry tho if you been vomiting a lot you could have a tiny tear causing it! X

The only thing I've eaten all day is half a bowl of chicken noodle soup. And said hello again to it half hour later.

Dark coffee coloured are you thinking what I'm thinking it's blood?

I was vomiting blood when I was in my early 2nd trimester with horrible nausea. It was pink streaked. My mw said it was from my esophagus and that actual stomach bleeding looks like coffee grounds. If its just dark colored bile, I dunno. If I haven't eaten I have had all sorts of colors of bile.

If you think you are vomiting blood call the doc asap though. :flower:

It's only blood a small percent of the time but if it's a possibility it should always be monitored and checked! If you not vomited again since chances are it's nothing but still worth a mention to your doc x

I was diagnosed with a mallory weis tear due to my hypermesis, now this involved me throwing up brown vomit, it was light brown with dark brown specks. I would book an appointment with your GP, have you drank coffee, tea, cola, chocolate anything brown??

Definitely get checked by a doc, brown vomit might be something you ate, but it also might be bleeding in the stomach

I first brought it up a couple of nights ago, Saturday, and thought it was what I had eaten. Was fine Sunday and thought no more about it. But I've lost count of the number of times i've done it tonight, got a bucket beside me.

Only had water to drink, tried warm honey but it made my throat sting.

What is a mallory wellis tear? How do they treat it?

seems to have been stomach acids that i was bringing up. Currently in hospital with flu and or pumonia.

awww so sorry that you are sick. Glad to here it's just bile/acids but so crappy that it's the flu or worse. Feel better and take good care of yourself!!

Oh dear glad you went to be checked out! Hope you have a speedy recovery, look after yourself! Baby will take what it needs regardless so take extra care of you xx

A mallory weiss tear is where youve vomited so much that youve torn your esphogus, in which that causes it to bleed every time you vomit.
The way i felt with it though before i threw up would be... err like being hit in the throat and in the centre of your chest with a tennis ball, then you would start to spit alot. Then for some reason my tongue would swell up, then you just get the almight urge to throw up. Now I have to warn you, they will pop a tube in your throat or down your nose, and you might have to have a camera popped up your bottom, x
