Hi Girls,

Sorry to intrude here but i was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out with a question i have.

I was just wondering how likely the chances are of having a premature baby if you were one yourself? I was born 5 weeks early and with me only being weeks away from that stage myself im now pondering will this happen to me if you know what i mean.

Did this happen to anyone?

Its unlikely, its not genetic, and it depends on the reasoning why too.

eg. I was born at 29 weeks, after a scan, it was an emergency c section, because i was very tangled with the cord

My Lo was born at 27 weeks, natural delivery, no reason found

i was a prem baby as were all my bros and sisters but theres only me who carries 2 kids for 37 weeks both fine got let out few days and then this current pregnancy im 31 + 1 day and baby getting delivered this week due to iugr xxx
i think its more coincidence than anything else x

Yeah, as far as they know, there is no genetic reason for prematurity.
