spitting up and out the nose??

im curious, my daughter spits up alot even a few hours after eatting she'll spit up and she gets it coming out of her nose often when she spits up? this scares me im wondering if this is something to call the doc with over the weekend or wait till monday?? at her last appt he said to just hold her up right more and to slow down her feeding cuz shes eatting fast... does anyone have any experience with this? im truly worried its my first baby n shes having things come out her nose n spit up...

Both my daughters would spit up and it would come out the nose. My pediatrician said it was normal. She should grow out of it soon. No worries.

I assume she's bottle feeding? It sounds like the flow is too fast. If you're already using stage 1 nipples, check to see if your bottle brand makes a premie flow nipple. If not, then try Dr. Browns bottles and buy the premie nipples. Our first was only 6 and a half pounds at birth, and got down under 6 pounds. We had the same problem, and this was the fix. Good luck. I hope she does better.
