Spotting/Brown discharge

Hi ladies i need some advice please.

I found out on the 5th April i had lost my baby but then on the 8th i was taken into hospital as i had an ectopic. I was told it would resolve itself. I started bleeding heavy on the 12th and lasted till tuesday 17 then it stopped.

Me and OH had Sex on wednesday i had like these heavy pins and needle sort of pains that lasted 5mins for the first time then a twinge the second time.

Then Yesterday i had spotting and its got alot heavier its its thick brown and i have to wear a pad.

What could this be cos i'm starting to get worried now. I just want all this to be over so i can get on with me and OH having our break from all this!!!!!!!!

Have you had bhcgs taken throughout, if so have they fallen to zero?

my bloods on Friday 13th April were 45 and i have had a heavy bleed so i would of thought they would be zero now. The brown discharge isnt that bad now its slowed down. xx

Its probably just leftover old blood. As long as the docs have confirmed everything is gone, I wouldn't worry about it.

My D&C was 6 weeks ago and I've been having brown discharge for the past couple of days. I thought it might be my period but no flow as of this morning. I haven't had my period since D&C.

I am also wondering what this brown discharge is I just want to know where my cycle is at!! lol!!!

Tinker - Unfortunately this is something that is unpredictable. You could ask your doc what they think. They may ask you to go in have have your Hcg checked if you weren't monitored to make sure you were back to levels of <5, or they may tell you to wait it out. It can unfortunately take awhile for our bodies to return to normal after a MC even if there was medical intervention.

As of April 4th, my HCG is down to non-pregnant level. But you're right, I might just have to wait it out and see ... Problem is I am so impatient. lol!

I just remember that I was told that bleeding could occur on and off within the first 4 weeks. And if I'm counting correctly, you are just entering your 4th week. Are you in any pain at all? Do you have a follow up appointment with your Doctor at all?

i have no pain at all. i havent got any follow up appointments no i might make one for friday morning to just check me out i think.

i still got brown discharge its just hard cos we want to get bk to normal so bedding etc...

I know your pain, well kinda. When I had my mc, I bled for 2 weeks straight and spotted for another 3 I think. I wish these things didn't take such a toll on us and that docs could do something to make it instantly go away. I put myself on BC just to try to regulate everything I was so desparate. Having to wear pads that long litterally started giving my diaper rash!
