St George's Day Embryo Transfer!

I’ve just got back from the Clinic with 1 “excellent” (4 cell) embryo and 1 “good” (2 cell) embryo on board! Anyone else hoping that today is the start of a new adventure? I just think it‘s a nice touch that it is on St George’s Day! We have been told implantation success is in the late teen percentile. I am aged 40 and 2 months. I’m wishing the next 2 weeks away, join me if you like!

congrats on transfer heres 2 a bfp at the end of the 2ww, i had 2 embies transfered yesterday 1 8cell and 1 7cell fingers crossed they stick

Wow a 7 cell and 8 cell! At least you know they have carried on developing! Did you have a 5 day transfer then instead of a 2 day? Fingers crossed for BFPs for us both!

we had a 3day transfer, was abit disapointed we got 15 eggs 12 fertilized but only had 2 that was developing so none 2 freeze so im hoping it works, did u have a 2day transfer? when is your test date and will u test earlier?

Wow just goes to show that having lots of eggs doesn't necessarily mean lots more choice. As I was being scanned I had 8 follicles, they got 6 eggs on the day, 3 of which fertilized, 1 of which was too poor to be put back in or frozen. But the other 2 were good and excellent quality. Howcome you got Day 3 transfer? I would have only had a Day 3 transfer if EC was a Friday and ET a Monday. But I think each Clinic is different. Just a difference in 1 day means lots more cells! Mind you if they can detect a heartbeat after 4 weeks then I suppose that would make sense! Test date is Friday 7th May. We're due to be away that weekend but will doing an emergency visit to the Clinic for more supplies if it's positive! Not sure whether I'll test earlier or not. I know I will be dying too! The Clinic said implanatation should be late Monday/Tuesday if it's going to happen so I'm going to be praying for cramps & a bit of blood around then! When is your test date? Do you mind if I ask how old are you? 15 eggs seems loads to me but then maybe you've got a few years on me ;-)

im 30, our test date is 4th may should of been the 3rd but its bank holiday, dont know y but our clinic only do 3day transfers, im suffering with abit of ohss so i got 2 go bck to the hospital on monday for more bloods im off 2 amsterdam on tuesday for a few days break then i think i'l test at home on the 1st may just 2 see

Do you test at the clinic then? Why can't you test on 3rd because its a BH? Seems a bit strange. Have a nice restful time in Amsterdam!

Again shows how different things are, my clinic gave me a pregnancy test to do at home, and I just call them with the results!

Hi LadyK, I had transfer on Thursday of a blasto which we had frozen at our fresh cycle in Dec/Jan. My test date is 3rd May. Theres quite a few of us on the March/April IVF'ers thread who are in 2ww. Some already have their BFPs!! All very exciting. Come anf join us x

Gosh everyone seems to be having blasto's on board, mine were only 2 day transfers! Apparently blasto's have a better chance of implanting. I've been a bit crampy since ET but I don't think it's anything that I can get excited about yet. The Clinic reckons implantation would be late Monday/Tuesday if it happens. So I'm hoping from cramping/spotting then! I wonder whether my Clinic will do blasto next time if this doesn't work. Hmmm something to ask them me thinks!

Annmc30 / Caline / Sabine - It must be today/tomorrow your test dates! Good luck! I took an early test today but it was negative I have no hope that it will be positive on Friday Less than 20% is such shit odds and it's no better during a natural cycle. I so wanted to be pregnant before my sister has her baby next month and so that I would be having my baby before I'm 41. Just losing heart Hope it's better news for you 3 anyway.

ladyk dont give up hope i test friday n got a bfn but then i tested on satday with a clearblue digi n got a bfp 1-2, im at hospital 2mor for preg blood test

yeah it did my hcg level was 202 i got my first scan on the 24th may
