Today I just feel every bit of me hurts! My back aches, it hurts to breathe, my shoulders hurt... Anyone else feel like they are falling apart?! I get sharp stabbing pains when I take a deep breath - is this heartburn?!

I've had an ECG at work which looks normal so hope nothing serious. Making it hard to concentrate though on work as can't take a deep breath.

8 hours later and still can't take a deep breath :-(
Anyone else had this??

I did with my first two. Hate to say it but at times it was worst at night :(

This is what my OB said I was dealing with after ruling out heart conditions:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/costochondritis/basics/definition/con-20024454

If that's what yours is it's not dangerous, but can be debilitating pain wise. Mine was on the whole linked to too much lifting - during my first pregnancy I was simply too active despite being insanely active all my life and I had to learn to take it easier on my body, the second bout came from lifting my daughter too much (always paid for that if I picked her up too many times during the day).

Well 24 hours later have been discharged from hospital having had negative scans in my legs and awaiting a lung scan next week. Chest pain is much better with codeine so hopefully costachondritis and not a PE!

I thought staying in hospital would be awful but actually I slept til almost 8am, instead of the usual 5am wake up with my toddler.

I had to say I thought of a PE when I read your symptoms.

I had multiple emboli in my lungs 2 weeks after having me eldest. Started with a horrible pain in my shoulder which spread into my lungs. It's was mostly in the back & hurt to take a deep breath.

Everyone at the hospital told me it was unlikely to be PE and multiple ECG's were normal. But as I was technically high risk they gave me a CT scan which showed they were wrong.

A similar pain can be caused by lots of things, however it's good that they're still giving you a scan to be sure.
