Started my Christmas food shop

So today with the big day coming up I thought I best pull my finger out...

I went to Marks's and ordered my Meat, going for Lamb this year, That little bit different. Dont really like Turkey, So I Pick that up on 23 Dec. I got my stuffing as it was 2 for £3.50 (Bargain) and my Little Sausages to do my pigs in blankets which were also 2 for £3.50... and bunged my sausages & stufing in the freezer... so Ive spent £32 so far and didnt think that was bad by far for what I got... So now I need to send Chrisout at 7am when the stores open on xmas eve for my fresh stuff and just a few bits to get now & desserts and not to forget the beer MMMM!!!

Any on else been for their turkeys or there choice of meat yet... I feel quite organised... I usually leave everything until last minute and get stressed!!!

Fortunately my mother in law is cooking so I get out of it this year

I order my turkey from the butchers 7-10 days before xmas then do the food shop on the 23rd. Its not xmas till you hit the shops and there are queues longer than the M1

LoL Mamafy, I really dont have the patients to be stuck in queues in supermarkets. I remember once this happened with my mam and she just walked out & left the trolly... I was so embarrased!!

I go out in the middle of the night on the 23rd ish and also really early on xmas eve but i already have my large gammon which OH got from costco yesterday for me and then i need to get my turkey, i dont bother ordering, i just go and buy it in the middle of the night haha.
Ofcourse saying this, we all go to my mothers on xmas day, so i get out of cooking the turkey, i just buy it for my mam, we need more than one turkey to feed everyone that turns up for dinner so that the gammon and the prawns are my contribution haha

We don't have turkey either, this year we are having chicken & pork (yes both ). My mum gets us the meat every year so its in her freezer already We'll be doing our big shop about the 23rd I think, going to MIL's on xmas eve
