Started TTC in May - who's with me?

Hi ladies! I just found this forum (searching the internet for TTC stuff as baby-crazy women will), and thought I would share where I am in my TTC journey, and would love to hear where everyone else is.

My hubby and I have been together for five years, married for 2.5, and I was on bc the whole time. Just stopped taking it at the beginning of March because we wanted to try for a baby. Well, it's taking longer than what I thought, although in the grand scheme of things it's not all THAT long, and we weren't really actively trying the first couple months. But still - I'm ready for a baby, dammit! This month was the first cycle that I charted my ovulation with test sticks - although they confused the crap out of me. My period is due around the end of next week. Who else is trying for their first? And hugs to you all!

Hi mini, I started about the same time as you. I'm on cycle 2 and I use opk to check for o.

Slowwww going! I know that being on birth control for such a long time can mess up ovulation/cycles, but my periods are always as regular as clockwork, and besides that, I know people that have gotten pregnant while on birth control. Sooo yeah lol. How is everything going for you?

Are you trying anything new this cycle?

I think this cycle I will try the Clearblue ov tests, the ones with the little faces that tell you whether or not you are ovulating. I used the First Response ov tests this cycle, and it was so hard to tell whether or not the line was dark enough to be considered a positive test! I kept second-guessing the results. Probably just me overthinking it, but still. Is one particular test supposed to be better than the other?

Not sure which is best but I use the clear blue ones and find them good. I like seeing the smiles

Started evening primrose oil this cycle which gave me more cm but think it delayed o a bit. Not sure whether to use it again or not.

I'll pick up the Clearblue tests for next month's cycle! I think since stopping my bc pills, this month was the first month of normal ovulation - I had light spotting, bad cramps the first day the ov sticks showed a pink line. Hopefully everything is finally on track and July will be a good month for us both!

I just ordered the red raspberry leaf tea from Amazon as well - I keep hearing good things about it, and I figure any natural chances of helping fertility along have to be a good thing

Oh great, what brand did you buy? Let me know what it's like. Good that you o'd just off bc, for some it takes a while. Where in your cycle are you?

I ordered the Yogi brand tea- reviews seemed to indicate that it tasted decent, but I will let you know! I'm due to start AF in about eight days. I'm having all regular PMS symptoms so I'm assuming no pregnancy this cycle. What about you?

I just got off bcp the end of may. Not sure if af will show or what! I just started a post for people coming off bcp if you wanna join it!

I'm due on in 8 days too, no 'symptoms" of Af yet but mine don't tend to come this early. Feeling out, as I think I missed ovulation ( we were away for a wknd and didn't take my opks) but bd eod through my fertile period so we'll see.

Are your AF symptoms pretty clear usually? 8 days before seems early to be feeling her coming.

Unfortunately my AF symptoms usually always start around over a week before the witch arrives. Even when I was on bc it seems like for a solid week beforehand, I would be super moody, breast tenderness, and even some cramps. I think it would be really hard for me to tell the difference between pregnancy symptoms and PMS lol.
