My tubes are the problem. I ovulate regularly like clockwork, no pcos, AMH levels are on point, healthy uterus, progesterone levels are great, all other bloods have come back normal. I have never has a miscarriage. I have a 5 year old son whom we concieved naturally and had no complications.

Has anyone been in a same or similar position? What was your protocol like? Did you have success? I am trying to navigate the process and terminology at the moment to prepare myself.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi so I have blocked tubes and a 5 year old and said my HSG test in 2015 must have briefly unblocked them so we conceived naturally that month. Since had HSG and they are still blocked if not worse than in 2015.
Everything else seems fine for us too, they are sure I ovulate but dnt prove it due to having a short LUteal phase. sorry no answers to ur question but in similar situation.

Hi! I am looking at starting IVF around August. Egg quality seems to be my issue- I fall pregnant easily, and have a healthy 2yo. Over the past year, I've had 3 losses, and know that two (and likely all 3 :( ) were due to trisomy issues. I'm soon 36, so kind of surprised to have this many issues at this point. But it is what it is. We are taking a few months to recover (and ideally lose some weight/get in better shape before attempting IVF/pregnancy). Good luck to you for April! Would love to cheer you on as we wait.

Will you be taking anything to improve egg quality? I am taking something called Ovivance (usually recommended for pcos which I don't suffer from) and it is said to improve ovarian function. I also take my folate, omega 3, and a multivitamin. I also see they recommend Q10 as well for improving egg quality. I have been on supps and trying to be healthier since Novemever last year. Dh is also.

I see my fertility specialist on 1 April and he will most likely send me for any blood tests I haven't already done. Once he has results he will advise on the correct protocol. I have been researching "low" or "mini" ivf and that's basically taking less hormones or meds to stimulate. Unsure of the success rates. Also wondering about which is better, fresh or frozen cycles.. there is so much to think about with ivf as there is no one size fits all. My FS comes very highly recommended so keeping my fingers crossed we get lucky our first cycle.

It's good you have time to prepare your body and your mind. I am sooo impatient, I would love to start on my next cycle which will be 5 April.

Yes, I bought a vitamin blend that is meant to help with egg quality. The RE put me on a thyroid medication, so I've been taking that and wanted to get used to it before introducing any new vitamins etc. I have been taking coQ10 for a few months already, though. I need to cut way back on caffeine, but have real trouble with that one... Planning to start with that on Monday.

Have you seen the RE before? Or is this your first visit to seriously discuss IVF? You never know, maybe you really could start in April. Im still wrapping my head around the fact that we are where we are. I had my LO with absolutely no issues, so I just didn't expect any of this.

Hi we aren’t sure yet and have a consultation with a consultant in Greece next month. We live in the uk and I don’t qualify for ivf on the nhs so we won’t pay the private prices here because it’s crazy
