Hi everyone,

I am just wondering, if I dont return to work, what kind of benefits I will get.

My partner works full time, and my current employment do not offer part time hours, so therefore I would have to put Jack in nursery all day & it would cost well over a third of my income. So not really worth it. I resent having to miss my LO all day only to pay most of my wages on someone else looking after him.

Currently I am on maternity leave which will end in June, so I am just considering my options. We currently survive on my partners wages (about £220 per week, which £120 rent has to be paid) and CTC £90 per month & Child benefit £80 per month. My maternity pay is about £500 per month which will end in June.

I'm just sooooo depressed on living on not alot of money! Ive just started doing Ann Summers parties for a bit of extra cash, but my first party isnt until the end of this month.

Sorry for waffling on but it gets me down & just needed to get it out! :(

Not sure, I'm a SAHM but OH earns too much for us to get anything much. I'd imagine you could get some sort of housing benefit when your mat pay runs out.

Could you also get WTC too?
