Steam steriliser goes brown at bottom and water too?

Does anyone else get this? I periodically scrub it but now the white plastic tray near the bottom is going brown too ?? Is this some sort of build up? How do u clean it? Or is it just me?

P.s its a tommee tippee

Mines exactly the same.....the only thing that gets rid of it is descaler, you can get it from Boots for a couple of ££s.

I've tried scrubbing it out everyday but still get the build up

I give mine a scrub every morning just with te bottle brush ad a tiny bit of washing up liquid and hot water. At first I don't wash it ad I noticed a white build up. And washing it everyday seems to have got rid of the problem. Hope this helps x

Mee too, its the limescale build up. I think they need de scalling every 4 weeks or something like that xx

Tommee tippee recommend boots steriliser descaler sachets - and they work really well. I've got a tommee tippee too and use them every 4 weeks x

Mine too I ended up buying a 10L tube with lid and Milton stelilising tabs and I just use thar now! Stupid tommee tippee! Plus with expressing all the time least the Milton water is sterile for 24 hours and doesn't waste electric! I was just putting the tommee on for my pump bits every 4 hours so wasting electric!
Thinking I'll de acid it and give it my parents when they have Isaac they can sterilise his bottles etc when needed
