Sterilisation Question

So my DD is on an anti-reflux formula and is getting a bit constipated on it. I've started offering cooled boiled water in between feeds. Does anyone know whether I need to sterilise the bottle afterwards or whether washing in hot, soapy water is enough? It's not milk so I assume that sterilisation isn't necessary? I want to make sure though!

I was told to sterilise everything until 6 months and then just things that were used for milk.

I think you need to up to 6 months. Mind you I have been known to give water in an unsterile sippy cup, and she now grabs my dogs fur and rams her hands in her mouth so I don't know why I bother (other than milk)

I personally would be happy using just a regular clean cup (not sterilised) or a separate bottle (not used for milk, also just cleaned). If you are using a bottle that's the same bottle you use to make milk in though, I would sterilise it between uses just to make sure you aren't harbouring any bacteria from the milk or introducing it back into milk the next time you make a bottle of formula.
