So I sterilise the stuff and then I express and then I want to store it in the freezer. However, I'm using the Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles and they didn't come with 'lids'. Will the milk stay sterile and OK if I put the teat lid on and then the cap on top? Even in the freezer? Someone suggested turning the teat into the bottle but it doesn't seem possible to do with these bottles...

I'm not sure hon but I know you can get lids for these bottles, I only have one but I guess it'd probably be possible to get some online?

Why don't you buy some of the sterilised breast milk storage bags? You can then whack them in the freezer and just transfer to the bottle when you're ready to feed. You can get them in most places - Tesco, Boots, Mothercare etc x

I have got some of the storage bags - they even have little measurement marks on, so you can roughly see what amount is in there when you store it.

Tommee Tippee also do their own storage pots to go with the CTN range. They are a bit small though....well the ones I got are. I dont think storing in the actual bottle in the freezer is a great idea unless you know they are freezable. It can crack the plastic and then bacteria might find somewhere to live

I was just about to suggest this! :) I used to use the lansinoh ones.

I agree with what the ladies above have said. I used the plastic storage bags and they were fab. The're like food bags only sterile and they fit in the freezer much better than storage pots xx

Cheers girls. Well today I ordered some storage lids as I have tonnes of bottles which I bought when I didn't know if I'd take to breastfeeding etc. and yeah, they say they can be frozen. However, I think I'll get some of those bags to build my supply instead of buying more bottles :)
