I give my babies 1 or 2 bottles of formula a day, the rest is expressed breast milk.

My boy tends to sick up quite a bit and my girl is quite windy so thinking of trying SMA, although i've read it can really cause constipation.

Anyone have any experience with SMA?

why do you think sma will help? How about trying 5ml of gripe water, that helps to bring wind up. X

My mum just went out and bought a tub because she used it for me and my sister so reckons it should be fine for the babies, lol.

Just not too sure whether to try it, not sure if it may help to alleviate their issues but it could also make things worse...

personally i wouldnt, but your not me lol. If your giving bm aswell you want to stick with whats most like it, x

personally id stick with the aptamil as you dont want to upset their tummies more by switching formula..like the pp said try gripewater, infacol, dentanox or colief they all work quite well to bring up wind..colief is the more expensive option its about £10-11 for a tiny little bottle but it really helps alfie to get a good burp up.

I'd say Sma as my lo has been on it from day one with the anti colic avent bottles and I've never had constipation once he loves it :) xx

have you been to see your gp about it? you can get formula thickener I think which you add to the formula to help it stay down (if its reflux causing thing problem) if you don't want to switch to SMA :flower:

We use SMA and never had any problems with it, one of my friends has just switched from Aptimil to SMA and has said that she is finding it better. Sometimes we just have to try different ones until baby settles on one!

im the same, i only use aptamil when run out of expressed breast milk, i swapped to sma for few days an sooo regret it! baby was in agony being sick and bad diahorea so didnt work for her! im back to aptamil an doin well! x
