It hurts SOOOOOOOO much to pee. My whole house is silent after because they've all just heard me in so much pain. Is there anything I can do to ease it slightly? I have 1 major tear with stitches, 1 minor with stitches and one she just left open? I can handle it but it would be lovely to relieve it somehow?

Do yo have a water bottle? Fill with slightly warm water and spray it on yourself down below as you go, it will help 100%. The hospitals here always give us one to use. Godd luck and congrats!

Lean as far forward as you can whilst peeing, and pour warm water 'down there' at the same time. x

Several things:

1. Warm water from a squirt bottle (you can add lavender oil)
2. Ice packs
3. Antiseptic spray (If I had known I could use this...grr, I wouldn't have been in pain for 10 days. honestly, right after I started using it I could walk normally).

Good luck.

yip what Aqua posted I did that i feel for u hun its bloody painful :hugs:

my midwife told me to pee in the bath at first!! i couldnt get my head round it at first but i did it and it wasnt half as bad..however if you need a wee quite often your not gonna want to be runnin the bath every couple of hours...i decided to piur warm water with lavendar on as i was weeing but my biggest tip is to dry yoursef with your hairdryer after a wee, a bath, a shower etc to keep your stitches dry and infection away!!

h x

Seems a bit nasty, but pee as your bath water is going down or get a jug of cool water and pour it over yourself as you go.. it helps loads!

my stitches were so sore after id recomend the quirty bottle hun

when i had my daughter i used lavander oil just add some to a warm bath wow it was heaven it relieves the pain xx

also a little salt in the bath water will help the healing process :)

Salt in bath water, and also squat when you're on the loo rather than sitting down.

Arnica tablets can help with the brusing,
Lavendar oil in the bath.,
Alsop drink loads to make your wee dilute, you can use a squirty bottle of water too.

I leaned as far forward on the toilet as I could... looked like a freak, but the pee didn't hit any girly parts to make them burn. At first I did all the above!

I had one tear and some "skid marks" where the skin stretched open but didnt' tear... My discomfort in peeing only lasted about 5-7 days.

I poured water down there whilst peeing. I have a friend who tore so bad she couldnt wipe and like mentioned already had to use a hairdryer. She was in tears every time she went for a week or so :( was horrible to see her like that x

im glad i have read this post now and if i need stitches i would be well prepared x

witch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazel and did I mention witch hazelwitch hazelwitch hazel....I was (TMI) cut to ribbons with Katie and was very sore for many weeks after it :( but I used witch hazel on gauze everytime I went to the loo and the relief was immense. Take plenty of pain relief too hunny :hugs:

:hugs:

It depends where the tears are I think. I had a labial tear right at the top so the peeing forward didn't help me and I had grazing too so leaning back was no good either but I did find it helped to use some tissue or cotton wool pads and hold the labial tear out of the way a bit and lean the opposite way. It's a bit gross and I kept peeing on my hands  but peeing hurt so much that anything was better.

Also afterwards using sanitary towels which have been storred in the freezer is a big relief. It's a bit wierd when other people look in your freezer though and you have to explain.

I agree warm water in a squirty bottle definately helps x

silly suggestion how about weeing in the shower if u dont wanna run a bath everytime xx

I think the tear at the front is the one they left open! Geez she ripped me to pieces. Not feeling any better yet. Midwife said because they left one open it's going to take a few weeks to heal! :(
