Stopping expressing, best way?

As my LO is a lot more settled on cow and gate comfort, I have decided to stop expressing and just give her formula.

I was expressing 6 times a day, so I cut it down slowly over a month. I'm now down to once a day, but my boobs are really sore and feel a bit prickly. I just want to stop altogether, but my boobs get really uncomfortable and feel better after I've done it.

Any advice?

i think the only way is to leave it longer between expressions.
like leave it 24 hours, then try and leave it 30 hours etc...and do it for less time.

I was expressing everytime she needed fed and up to 6oz at a time. I reduced a feed every third day then when down to two I spread them out and reduced amount so I took 2oz roughly 14 hours apart then 18 hours then 24. Then found it was actually difficult to express more than 2oz and a few days later I stopped completely with no uncomfy feelings at all on day one and the next day a bit sore so just expressed an oz and felt better then never had to again x
