I went out for lunch today with OH and LO needed feeding while we were out so i breastfeed her in the restraunt , I dont have any problem doing this and I think i do it very discreetly.

The waiter can over and saw what i was doing and then very nicely informed my that they had a breastfeeding area in the restruant, "Oh brilliant" i thought and followed him, to a chair in the disabled toilet!! !!! Hardly a breastfeeding area!!!! I just told him that I would prefer to feed at the table and he had no problem with it.

But seriously when does a chair in a toilet make it a breastfeeding area!!!

wow you were lucky to even have a chair. My recent experience at a restaraunt they didnt even have one, let alone a seat on the toilet to even sit on that!

Good the waiter didnt have a prob with you going back to the table

Nah he was cool but is every place gunna put a seat in the bogs and call it a bfing area now?!?!

Glad he didn't have a prob with u going back to the table. By the looks of it no ladies on here would stand for being shoved in a corner (or disabled toilet in this case) anyway

That's just awful. I was at Chester Zoo on Fri and they one room in the whole zoo that I could find and it was a toilet cubicle in the baby change room near the owls. It was cold, draughty and not big enough to get a pram through the door ffs!! So I found a descreet spot in the main restaraunt instead. Couldn't care less after that I sat around outside on benches when ever needed feeding!

Oh wow image putting a chair in a loo so you can BF! What if someone needing to use it came along who would get priority?

I just assumed it was ok to feed LO in most places... have yet to be told to stop or been shown to the BF room or disabled loos....
That said I find it quite funny when I am BF and someone sits across from you or nearby and thinks awww a wee baby then they realise your feeding and suddenly the find everywhere else sooo interesting.Obviously I dont mind otherwise they would just be perving!

But the other week I fed Nathan on a bench within a shopping center, fair enough he wa feeding the side OH was sitting at but I did expect to get asked to stop but nope.

you should have asked if he could move your table to the bog and bring your food too as your baby had to eat theirs in there

OMG i ended up having to STAND in a disabled toilet once and feed Tabitha, was not fun at all!!
