Anyone else notice their animals behaving oddly now that you're pregnant? Our dog has a bed in the living room right outside the bedroom and always sleeps there, but lately she's been sleeping beside and in front of my bed when I'm in it. This morning I woke up to her sitting beside the bed facing the other way as if she was guarding me! She always stares at me lots too. I find it sweet and feel like she's gonna make a great protective big sister to LO, it just amazes me how she can tell baby exists already!

My cat acts differently now. She used to always sit on the sofa with me, or sleep on the bed with us etc but now she won't sit near me but at the same time she won't be out of the room I am in. We used to shut her out of the bedroom if we were sleeping with the windows open but now if we shut her out she cries and scratches at the door until we let her in.

My cats have changed. Malley who is my baby as a kitten loved to cuddle and love on me but once she got about a year she became a bit distant but since I've been pregnant she has to always see me she is either laying by me on my legs or like your dog she will lay a few feet away turn away from me and rest but always mindful of where I am. She hates when I close the bedroom door so she will put her paws under the door or her face to let me know i forgot to let her in lol. My other cat Sidney is not really a people person she will stay in the bathroom all day but she is actually coming out more and just watching me sometimes coming up to me and letting me pet her and cuddle.

Our moodiest cat who hated everyone decided to start laying on me and cuddling me after I got pregnant. Now my dog acts like he's on guard all of the time. He barks at any little noises and won't let guests too close to me. And he is acting like a nerd!

She probably acts up more but her acting out isn't really out of the norm. Lol

Two days before I went into labor with my son though, I was at my parents house with my best friend. She was sitting on a chair and I was on the bouncy ball and my parents dog just sat between my friend and I, facing her and growling the entire time. She has never been a very nice dog but she has never done that either. Makes me think she knew I was about to go into labor.
