Hi ladies,

Just hoping someone can shed some light on this situation and tell me if it's commonly experienced...

Over the past few days to a week, I have noticed when I stand up to quickly, I get a sharp twinge/cramping/pulling sensation in either right or left side of lower abdomen (assuming it's my uterus) .. Also i'm noticing the same feeling when I sneeze or move too quickly, for instance last night OH scared me and i jumped a little and i felt this sharp pain.. It only lasts a few seconds then feel nothing at all, and it alternated location but I'm just wondering if this is normal at 10 weeks??

It kinda feels like stretching or my uterus changing shape, like when I'm sitting for a while and I straighten up too quickly, maybe it's my uterus changing shape?

I don't know whether it's worth seeing a doctor about this, seeing as it's the only cramping i'm experiencing and have had no bleeding whatsoever...

Thanks for reading!!

:hugs:

Definitely round ligament paints & stretching sensations! I get them, too. Nothing to worry about unless you start bleeding bad (like a period). My doctor just said to drink lots of water. =)

Thanks heaps greats!!! Hey is your ticker out? Because I think my due date is October 24 as well :)

I honestly have no idea when exactly my due date is haha, doctor first said the 24th then the 26th then back to the 24th, and I get scans done every week and yesterday baby was measuring 9w4d when I should have been 9w6d so it's probably somewhere like the 26th again or something. lol

I pulled a round ligament when sneezing last week lol. Excruciating and was put on rest. All is well now. I still get general pain, pulling and cramping. 3/4 of that is bowel pain though lol :-)

like the others said it is classic round ligament pain, nothing to worry about.. pretty soon you'll have not only the stretching pains but also LO kicking about in there :)

Thanks heaps ladies!! being my first pregnancy, i have no idea what to expect and i know it will only get worse from here... but every little ache or niggle worries me!!! Thanks for giving me some clarity!!! :hugs:
