Strange cycle after possible chemical! Thoughts???

I had a possible chemical pregnancy last cycle (tons of pregnancy symptoms, faint positive HPT on 11DPO, followed 2 days later by a very light bleed with much more cramping than my usual period).

Then, much to my surprise, I had what felt like my usual ovulation cramps late at night on CD7! I thought this was WAY too early to O (I have a very regular 28-30 day cycle), but then read that it was possible to O early after a chemical. When I felt the cramps DH and I BD'd within a couple hours (in the wee hours of CD8), and have continued to BD every other day. I can't be sure that it was O, because I don't usually start my OPKs until CD10, and I don't temp, but I've had O cramps since I was a teenager and they are unmistakable for me.

Fast forward to yesterday, CD13...brown spotting! I've never had mid-cycle spotting, and I'm fairly sure it's not O spotting, since I've been taking OPKs since CD9, and the lines are still as faint as they ever were! This morning the spotting stopped, but I had very light cramping. We will continue to BD every other day until I do get a positive OPK, AF, or BFP, just to cover all our bases, but I'm wondering if anyone has had something like this happen before, and what the outcome was?

Of course I could wait around to take a test, but we all know how impossible that is when your mind starts spinning with thoughts of that long-awaited BFP! 😉

Thanks for any thoughts, this is my first post on a TTC board!

Welcome! I'm afraid I can't help much but wanted to say hi. I've never had a chemical that I know of but from my experience with miscarriages I'd say expect the unexpected. If it was a chemical, it's difficult to interpret anything happening this cycle really. I thought I knew my symptoms pretty well but I'm now 6 weeks post-mc and they're all over the place. Hopefully after a chemical your hormones should settle quickly but I don't think ovulation pains or spotting necessarily mean anything just now. Could be early ovulation and implantation bleeding but could just be your body trying to readjust. Fingers crossed for you though!

It's tricky and different for everyone. My cycle after my CP was perfectly normal, everything on time. This is cycle 2 after my CP and I've had super early ovulation for me -4 days earlier than normal.

It seems to vary from person to person. Some are unaffected, some have weird cycles immediately and for a while afterwards.
I hear there's some truth in that you are more fertile after a loss so good luck to you! Sounds like you BD at right time
