I've done a little bit of nesting...nothing major. I deep cleaned my entire bathroom and I'll admit I vacuumed the blinds in my room, but other than that I haven't done too much. In fact, I've been pretty lazy the last few weeks! But my mom is the one who is nesting! I live with her, and she was going crazy cleaning the whole house and dusting places that have never seen the light of day! Is this normal? She said she nested a LOT when she was pregnant with me and my brother. The day she went into labor with me, she was frantically cleaning the house and then she baked a cake :haha: Is it possible that my mom has the nesting instinct more than I do?

Ha ha! I did all my nesting by 34 weeks. Now at 38 weeks I keep the house clean and tidy and am keeping on top of the washing and ironing but apart from that I'm to tired and really can't be bothered. Im craving a home made lemon drizzle cake but can't be bothered to shop for the ingredients or bake one! Your not the only one who's not nesting! :) more time to rest and sleep rather rather than clean!

hahaha i think so! I havnt nested at all and my mum doesnt live with me but she has a key to the house and I keep waking up to find her in the house cleaning or washing something!!

I have been doing some serious nesting!! Over the past week I have been cleaning in places and things that I haven't felt like cleaning in months!!
I moved everything in DD and DS rooms cleaned behind it and went through toys and clothes. It feels so good that everything in their rooms is so clean. I did the same in my room all but a heavy dresser, couldn't get behind that. I have been washing clothes everyday so there is never a full load in the dirty clothes. Dusting cleaning cabinets out. Just crazy! I'm completely wore out but can't stop myself!! Lol

I'm a bit of a clean freak anyway so do a lot of cleaning but tonight I have hoovered and mopped all downstairs and ironed the clothes this is unheard of for me normally when my girls are in bed I'm chilling and I had no sleep last night lol... I'm looking forward to doing upstairs tomorrow when girls are at school haha we shall see if I do haha

Hahahhaa jealous!
My moms too self absorbed to help with anything for the baby...I'm sure it's possible she could be nesting vicariously through you ;)

I had a friend that told me when she was pregnant she was like a squirrel she would take canned foods and hide them around the house and even in the couch cushions lol... it was something i have never heard of... but she couldnt help herself lol

I think I have the lazy genes and not the nesting ones. I washed all LO's clothing ... and I think that's all I've got it in me to do, haha

My mom is definitely more concerned about cleaning stuff than I am or ever was. She gets really mad at me because she lives with us and she can't physically do cleaning stuff and I am not as picky as her.

I am really wanting to finish the nursery and get the clothes down from my first son but not really concerned with scrubbing everything top to bottom.

I'm hoping my nesting instinct kicks in... We've just had our house renovated so I've been crazily unpacking boxes but when it came to cleaning, I called the cleaning company to do a deep clean and I just watched (not sure if that counts or not! Lol!)

Nesting really kicked in for me last week. I just had a big urge to clean/tidy every room and make sure everything's ready for LO. Don't know what's happened With the hospital bag though, it's still not even half done. I mentioned to my mum about decorating the front room. Yesterday day I found it stripped! Lol. My mum comes to my house daily and does something.
Xx

We have recently moved house and its been the perfect time for nesting to kick in! Today I had another urge and spent 40 minutes vacuuming the whole house, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, cleaned all the window sills, dusted, straightened all the rugs, moved around some furniture, ironed a massive pile of my husbands work clothes and even wiped a door down before thinking that I had gone too far!

I've been nesting like crazy the last couple weeks...on Monday I spent 3 hours washing the walls, cabinets and floors (ridiculous!). Today I'm straightening out the closets and washing all the bedding, on top of the usual vacuuming and dusting that I find myself doing almost daily.
