i've been really stressed out and depressed lately cause of a lot of things that are happening and i feel more guilty cause I don't want my baby feeling the way i do but it's so hard to control.. could this affect her in any way? :( i'm not always over the top stressed like that i'm hyperventilating but it's there and i'm just really scared something bad will happen to her :/ Could she get any birth defects or something??

when i had my first pregnancy i was pregnant for 2 months and i lost it. during that time i was very stressed and overwhelmed. i know you can lose a baby becaude of stress.

Maybe you should see someone? Like go to counseling or see a doctor and get it taken care of. Although its not likely for your baby to have "birth defects" you can put the baby under stress or something, and im sure you dont want that.

What youre feeling is normal, and hopefully you dont feel like a failure or a loser for it..because feelings are NEVER wrong. I wish you the best, and hope you feel better soon:flower::flower::flower:

There are so many people out there you can talk to hun, whether it's your GP, midwife, a member of your family or a friend. You should speak to somebody to let off some steam as excess stress has been known to cause harm for unborn babies and I know you don't want that. I hope you feel much better soon <3

I am 30 weeks pregnant and have suffered from a panic disorder for years. When I found out I was pregnant I was so scared, b/c when anxiety hits.. there isn't much you can do. You should be so proud of yourself for working so hard to keep things under control. Every doctor I have talked to about this reissues me that the LO is okay and there is no damage done. The only research they have of any effects is that sometimes if you're really high anxiety for long amounts of time, the baby can be a bit fussy when first born. So relax! Don't beat yourself up over this stuff.. it's not easy being pregnant and going through this. Yesterday, my heart rate hit 167 with full panic at that point. Do you know how she responded... heart rate stayed the exact same and she was a bit more active.. that's it. She was still getting everything she needed... but I'm sure she was curious why my heart was pounding so hard. The doctors did tell me that they worry about stress and depression more because it has such bad affects on you... it can change your eating, sleeping, and going to the doctor.. so as long as you're still doing that stuff.. you're doing great. Keep working to keep things positive, but don't let that worry add to it. If you ever need to talk about it.. feel free to msg. me. :)

I've been under so much stress too with this pregnancy, which has thankfully eased off mostly, however I personally think worrying about the effects it could have potentially had on LO adds extra stress and therefore isn't worth it! But I do knw that the hormones released due to stress have been known to cause miscarriage and preterm labour and also heard babies whose mothers had a 'stress-free' pregnancy are more laid back, so try to keep the stress levels reduced as much as possible!

I found talking to my midwife really helped me and she's really understanding as is talking to family members, but there's always other people such as GPs and councellors etc :)
Hope your stress reduces soon hun, smile! :flow: xx

that kinda puts my mind at ease because i've read such bad things about stress and pregnancy. I've been trying my best to not get toooo too stressed and if i did i'd just go for a walk which helps a lot. I've been sleeping and eating a lot even when i don't want to. I probably should try to get some counciling, whatever it takes to make baby happy! thanks girls :)
