Stupid Nurse:(

So hubby and I went to see the FS for the first time on the 17/03/2010, we were told that OH had very low sperm count...

well, anyway, hubby and I had to have a few blood tests, hubby also had to have a genetics test done, just to find out if the problem he has was genetic related, we were told this would take around 7 weeks for the results.

today a letter came through the post saying that the blood test done for genetics was sent in the wrong bottle to the lab!! and Hubby needs to go back to give blood again! plus our next appointment is on 12/05/2010, don't know whether the results will be back in time told hubby to ring them and tell them we want priority as we have been waiting for a long time for the results....

I feel so upset by everything plus AF came today so feel twice as worse

sorry to hear that madam, u know the docs and nurses just dont get it (unless they have personally gone through infertility issues)(well i know my doctor doesnt get it - shouldnt generalise!!). I dont think they realise how hard it is on a couple every month!! Rant as much as ya like, get it off your chest

luckily the FS we saw was really nice which is always a good thing its when we went to give blood, the nurse messed it up and put it in the wrong bottle!

That's so annoying! I hope you get the results back in time for your next appt.
Before I had my first appt I went to get bloods done and the hospital didn't send the results to the fertility clinic, despite being instructed to by GP. Grrr!

The hospital mucked up my blood test and swab too, ut the swab in the wrong bottle and wrote the date wrong on my blood test so had to have them both done again! Its not that hard os ot!!! so frustrating. Sorry hun, u will get there in the end x x x

Awww hun that sucks! we had to have karotype testing done and were told 5 month turnaround! When i rang Kingston hospital they said it was weeks not months and the clinic had been a bit 'economical with the truth'!

There's no reason why the ball can't get moving whilst they wait for the results chick - have they done your HIV and stuff? xx

Yeh thats what this blood test was karyotype rachelle1975... thats why we were so annoyed as it takes weeks for the results to come back yeh we have had all the other tests done and the results are back from the lab. i just can't believe the lab took 5 weeks just to tell my FS that the blood was in the wrong bottle!!

well, anyway hubby and I went today to give blood again and we made sure that the nurse put it in the right bottle this time! after that hubby rang the FS and asked her if they would be able to start the process quicker, she said that she will be onto it as it was not our fault and theirs...

fingers crossed the results are back by May
