Stupid pump broke! rentals? returns?

I am so livid my pump is leaking. I can not return it b/c it is a "personal product"... have to contact playtex now I think I may do hospital pump rental... anyone rent pumps and are they good? I was not sure if BFing would work out for me this time so I went for a "lower end" pump.... but did not expect it to go defective on me with five days use!

serina I love that blinkie. I was trying to salvage the last drops of the busted bottle! I do cry over spilled milk...

I can try to return it to walmart. I did break a seal on the box that clearly read it could NOT be returned call playtex so.... I can try to return it or just try playtex maybe they will replace it. Either way I need a pump!

Poor OH may send him off to buy another if this one can not be saved or call rental..

I would buy one if u pump a lot as rental is dead money ...the cost of two months rental i could buy a double pump x

Last time I used a cheap one for the short time I breastfed ( due to surgery 12 days after delivery ) It was the evenflo one, like $35. I would go for that again if I didn't want to spend a lot. I'm using my cousins (I know some ppl wouldn't re use) but its a medela double electric and works really well.

Maybe its different in the US but my pump broke and the shop replaced it for me. There should be a difference between returning as you don't want it any more and replacing as its broken. Seems silly that you can't get a replacement.
