Hi all,
We are ff and making up bottles. Poppy has started drinking all her 4oz so made a 5oz bottle this morning and just noticed it is now closer to 6oz mark on my tommee tippee bottle. On the box is says 150ml water and 5 level scoops of milk. I've done this but now panicking coz it is closer to 6oz is this normal?
Sorry if this doesn't mak sense x

You've added more milk powder - so the level of the liquid's going to come up higher. Long as you've added the right amount of water - it's fine.

WSS^^

I always add water first so you know there is 5oz of water then add powder.

You're fine. When you put 5 oz of water in the bottle mixed with the powdered formula, it ends up mixing to be more than 5 oz.

As you can probably tell I'm a 1st timer and everything worries me x

As the size of the feeds you're doing goes up, the amount of powder you're putting in and the amount the final bottle overshoots the oz mark you're aiming for is going to increase - think of it as the difference between putting a supermodel and a sumo wrestler in the bath - the water's going to go up higher for the sumo wrestler isn't it?

It's why you do water > powder and not the other way around to make sure the water is the right amount.
