Suddenly refusing a bottle?

My lo is 20 months and I still feed her a bottle before bed. The last 3 nights she has pushed it out right away, then started crying. I tried again and she did the same thing. Then when I put her dodo on she cried again so I put her in her cot, she cried for about 30 seconds and then fell asleep. All 3 nights she has slept her usual 12-14 hours without a peep.

Should I stop offering the bottle? I'm happy enough to drop it as she's old enough now, just a bit confused about why she has suddenly started refusing. Has anyone any experience?

Thanks!

Yes, stop giving her a bottle. It's not doing her any good and if she wants to wean go with it! Give her milk in a sippy cup or just cows milk throughout the day.

ETA: I mean the bottle isn't doing good, not the milk. The only positive of a bottle is comfort and obviously she isn't getting that if she doesn't want the bottle.

I agree, if she's refusing it then I'd just drop it and give her milk in a sippy cup before bed or something :)

Yes, grab the opportunity to drop the bottle. They are no good for teeth so if she's decided now's time to stop stop quick before she changes her mind!!!

Thanks ladies!! I have taken your advice and seized the day - she went down no problem, so the bottle is gone 😄! I was worried about how I was going to drop it, so happy that she's done it herself.

Only downside is she wouldn't take it in her sippy cup before bed either, so I'm going to try giving it to her throughout the day tomorrow.

Thanks again ladies x
