Suddenly sore nipples? Bf 2 year old

Hi all,
Past 4 days I've noticed my nipples getting sore so quickly when my two year old breastfeeds. Often this happens when I'm ovulating but I am cd 7 right now. This will be our first cycle TTC #2 so I am wondering if it's maybe in my head? Like I'm feeling it as pain because I am feeling a bit done with breastfeeding? Especially at night! Anyone had anything similar happen?
