By good I mean not incredibly annoying :haha: Just want Maria to watch something in English as she is barely speaking any English at all these days so I think she needs more exposure. She doesn't like cartoons that are too flashy or exciting.

Alphablocks. we love it in this house. The whole series is on youtube

Angelina Ballerina - lola likes the original one not the new version.

Charlie and Lola, although not a great example if its for English!

Kipper the dog! The vocabulary used is excellent compared to many children's programs and my children find it really inspiring for imaginative play.

Maple leaf hashima videos. They are actually a TV show and are made to teach English to Japanese kids but they work great for toddlers. My son started watching them ages ago and rapidly learned a lot from them and thinks they are really fun.

Wiggles - nursery rhymes
Spot the dog
Meg & Mog
Postman Pat
Sooty

As not in the UK, don't know the newer shows, but these are quite simple; my daughter has learned many words from these shows (and I have enjoyed the trips down memory lane).

Thanks for the suggestions. Maria watched a couple episodes of Kipper the dog today and she's already asking for more Kipper!

Callie likes The Hive and Peppa Pig (of course!) She also likes Tinga Tinga Tales, which is like Just So Stories but the characters speak in accents, so not sure how good it would be for Maria!

Well I think it would be good for Maria to be exposed to some accents because her cousins in England have very strong accents and my dad apparently does too (not that I can tell)

Pocoyo is a huge favourite here and it's narrated by Steven Fry! The only other thing he'll watch is Ben and Holly's little kingdom which I secretly really enjoy

Hahahah this is literally the exact answer I was going to give.

I too am a secret Ben and Holly fan! lol

I was going to suggest Old Bear Stories. They were on when I was a child, and we watch them with Earl quite a lot and he loves them.

Type in, kidsTV123, me and the boys love it, its great and Nathan has learned loads from the videos. Plus the guy has a lovely voice.
