I was induced on saturday 15th september as the following sunday I would have been 2 weeks over due with my daughter 
... The doctors used a pessory to help start me off at 11am saturday .. Had to stay overnight even tho I really didn't want too 
.. Then at 11pm at night when me and my friend tried to sleep I kept getting a pain in my abdomen .. Which I thought was the baby pushing out on my stomach as that's what it looked like and felt like .. By 2am the pain got a little worse (but bearable) but I was leaking browny stuff .. So at about 3:30am I buzzed for the midwife and she said it was meconuim in my waters, she done a examination and said I was about 2cm dilated .. (So the pain was contractions not litlun pushing on my stomach .. I felt bit silly at that point) LOL .. She monitored babys HB for half hour because of the meconium ... Hours passed .. Tired as sin .. (Rang my nan and dad at 5:30am and let them knw lol) they arrived an hour later lol ..
By about 9am sunday morning the contractions were really bad and very painful ... By about 10 I felt a 'pressure' in my butt (lol!) So couldn't sit on the bed/chair or birthing ball as when my contraction came it was uncomfy so walked and stood up quite a lot .. By about 2 the contractions were very painful - at this point I had no pain relief and they re-examined and said I was 3-4cm dilated .. They arranged for me to go to delivery suite anyway .. Hour later I tottled off to the delivery suite where I think the rest of my waters sort of came out as I leaked everyyyy wheree on the floor (whoops!) Even tho I had a pad on lol .. When I got in there I had a lot of blood in my pad which sort of worried the midwife so she done an interanal check up and she said I wasn't 3-4cm I was 7-8 :O (I was quite chuffed going that far with no pain relief esp as I dnt deal with pain that well lol) 20 minutes later I felt the urge to push ...
hours went by .. Still dripping meconium everywhere lol I couldn't sit still which meant the hb monitor wasn't picking LO's hb up properly so she had to stick something in her head to monitor it then my contractions wasn't strong enough so I was put on a drip thing with a drug to help strenghen them ... After a lot of pushing , screaming etc I managed to push her head out then the rest of her tumbled out after LOL
Midwife had to scrape the afterbirth out though as it was all in bits :S and the umbilical cord snapped as she was pulling the placenta out (half of which was inside out sort of) :/
Apart from all that I had a healthy baby girl whom I called Summer (middle name Katherine) 8lbs 6 and a half ounces , 1st baby she was born sunday 16th @ 6:13pm
