What shampoo do you use on your LOs? I have tried dentinox but it seems to be making his eczema worse and his scalp and forehead go red overnight? Has anyone else found this? I have a simple baby one that I use on my dd, but does anyone else have any suggestions? I use coconut oil pre bath on his cradle cap so I need something gentle to get rid of the oil. If I just use water to wash his hair his cradle cap goes crazy. Cant win!

Those are the only two ive ever used on my LOs too. Have u given simple a go yet?
Also put it on his hair after the coconut oil, then wet the hair with water, because it will shift the coconut oil easier, without you having to lather as much

I tried it once and his scalp was red overnight but I'd also used a cradle cap brush and I'm not sure which irritated. Ooh thanks for the tip. I normally shampoo twice which cant be great for a sensitive scalp.

Yep might be a lil too much :) the neat shampoo with cut into the oil, rub it into the hair and then add just a little bit water and lather. Then go for the rinse. It might reduce how much you have to scrub iykwim? :)

I use the e45 line though my twins have no hair (yet?) lol Have you tried this

I use johnsons baby first touch hair and body wash. She had a little cradle cap and I used dentinox a few times just to shift it but I find the johnsons one works well. It says you can use it from newborn but I think she was closer to 3 months when I started using it. Before that we used a little normal johnsons baby shampoo just to do her hair (she has a lot lol) once a week but I prefer the first touch one, definitely seems milder. I even use it on my 2.5 yr olds hair and it gives it a lovely shine (& she doesn't moan if it goes in her eyes) x

My son has both eczema and cradle cap as well, and we've recently started using this. It's great. It doesn't exactly lather like a normal soap, but it cleans just as well and leaves his skin and hair both clean and moisturized.

My scalp gets very irritated and I swear by Oilatum treatment shampoo. The Oilatum Junior range does a shampoo too.

For cradle cap we used Mustela Cradle Cap Foam Shampoo. I also lather Vaseline on his scalp and gently lift off the flakes with a fine tooth comb.

You could try epaderm ointment, I've used it on my daughter, I spread it on overnight and it can also be used as a skin cleanser too x

I asked a similar question a few days ago and someone told me their paediatrician told them not to use Dentinox! It made my LO's far worse. I rubbed a fair bit of olive oil into her scalp about half an hour before her next bath and put the shampoo on without wetting her head first and I couldn't believe how much it improved! It almost entirely cleared up in one go. I used Tesco Mum & Me baby shampoo (I think??) which says it's actually got olive oil in it to help with dry skin.
