So the last week I've had ridiculous braxton hicks and the occasional lower back contractions that are painful, uncomfortable and take my breath away. I went to L&D and the lady said my cervix are abnormally soft anyone else in the same boat?? They put me on assisted bed rest...and recently I've been exhausted. All the time SO tired...this is baby #2 plus I have 2 step kids so I feel useless 😞

Nothing?? Well...turns out now my mucus plug is coming out. I've had globs of it throughout the day.

Sorry to hear it, I've heard that this can happen and think the main important thing is that your waters haven't broken. You're in the right place anyway

I have no experience or advice sorry but I have everything crossed for you. Don't feel useless, I'm sure your family will all understand that what you are doing now (giving your baby your full attention) is not only vital but also something only you can do.

No advice but do as they've said and get some rest. Don't feel useless, being pregnant is hard and your family will support you as much as they can. Try not to worry about your plug, some people lose bits early on and it forms again.

I hope baby can stay in there as long as possible. Don't feel useless, you need to save your energy and it's in the baby's best interest. I hope you get all the help you can get for the other children! My prayers and thoughts are with you:flower:

Would say you are doing the right thing, rest as much as you can and don't feel useless, it's not forever. Hopefully things will settle down for you x

I remember googling a lot in my first pregnancy because I had a large amount of mucus loss and found unequivocally that the mucus plug does regenerate. I hope this is the case quickly for you and that everything else goes uneventfully from now on

So I saw my dr today and they are sending me to a preterm specialist. As well as having my cervix measured to see how much is left of them as they are super soft and feel like they are thinning. I am on weekly dr visits now. Oh boy...

Really sorry to hear about it. The good thing is you're seeing a specialist. Keep us posted

Fingers crossed for you. Hope baby stays put for a while x
