Supply low at certain time of day?

DD is 2 1/2 weeks old and the past few days I have noticed my milk supply feels really low late in the evening. The first time it happened it scared the crap out of me... but the next morning it was fine again. It gets to the point sometimes where I feel like I have NO milk, usually more so in one side than the other. And she gets frustrated, kicking all her limbs while nursing, then puckers up and lets out a cry.
I'm wondering if it is just because she tends to have a fussy period from 6-10 and seems to want to eat all evening, which in turn just drains the boobs? The rest of the day I have WAY more than enough milk, just touching them makes them drip.
It's probably not a big deal but I wanted to ask about it just in case... I'm scared to death of drying up. It's literally my biggest nightmare.

My supply started tanking rapidly last week to the point were my left breast pretty much dried up completely. I had a huge oversupply at the beginning, but then I started training for an ironman triathlon and my milk supply went in the gutter. I started eating a large bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, made lactation cookies, drink a pot of mother's milk tea each day, and have a Guinness after LO goes to bed at night and my supply is almost back up to where it was before. I think it's pretty normal to have a lower supply in the evening, but if your LO is getting frustrated and not getting a full feed you can always incorporate foods into your diet that promote lactation.

I think everyone gets this. I remember it well. This is a good read https://kellymom.com/parenting/parenting-faq/fussy-evening/

Also its good to remember that the rest of the day when your milk leaks out just with the lightest touch and your breasts feel "full" is actually oversupply. Our breasts aren't made to store milk and women's whose milk supply has regulated don't often leak or feel full unless they miss a feed.

I pump three times a day at work and can get 8-10 oz in five minute (I have an oversupply brought on my needing to build up a frozen milk stash). But if I try to pump at, say, 9 pm, I get next to nothing. So don't be too discouraged by that.

I think it's quite common for babies around the 2-4 week mark to cluster feed. My lo was glued to me the last week or so between 6-10 and my boobs felt so flat and empty! But I could see he was getting milk and was swallowing too.

I hardly have any milk even in my fuller breast towards late evening. But in the mornings they are nice and full. This is pretty common

I asked HV about this as I noticed DS getting frustrated in the late evening and she said its hormonal. Apparently it's to do with hormone cycle and is normal to have low supply from late evening but should pick up again around 4am. Not sure what the answer is when baby wants to feed at these times and supply is low. I'm finding that tough to manage as ds just gets so frustrated.
