I had to have surgery today to remove my gall bladder. It hurts really badly, but it will heal. The doctor told me I can not pick up my son for 3 weeks! Not possible, and I do not have anybody to help. Anybody else have this issue, and a solution?
Thanks!

I don't think you have to wait THAT long. I had mine out on a Tuesday and was home Thursday night, and I was picking LO up that day and I had no problems with it, no pain or discomfort at all. It really is minor surgery and I didn't think I even had it done. It hurt more to cough that picking LO up (I had a stupid cough at the time -.-) so yeah, I think they're over exaggerating a tad.

I've only just seen this. I had mine out a couple of years ago and luckily I had FOB around at the time to help, I actually had to go back in 3 days after a s they eft a few stones behind in my bile duct but I prob would've been ok to lift him after a few days. Just take it easy and on,y do it as little as possible. Hope you're recovering well.
