Hi,

I'm 5 1/2 weeks and have had some spotting since yesterday morning. The bleeding is a little heavier but at the moment only when I go to the toilet. I had a mc at 6 wks in September and symptoms are the same so I'm thinking the worse. I don't know if I should or need to go to the hospital or just deal with it at home. Not sure I want to go to the hospital as I didn't have a good experience last time. Any suggestions will be very welcome.

Oh hun :hugs: :hugs:
Try not stress too much as it may not be, I understand you not wanting to go to hospital. When I went they didn't really do anything other than do a preg test and arranged a scan at epu 2 days later.

Can you go direct to your EPU? Or speak to them on phone? You need referring for mine from GP, A&E or MW
Have you got a number to call MW?

Have you passed any clots or is is just bits of blood?

So sorry your going through this :hugs:

It's hard to say -- hospital can't do anything for it, but then again when I m/c'd in Sept, I knew they couldn't do anything but I still went so that I would know for sure if I was m/c-ing or not. I hated wondering, and wondering, and wondering.... then when I was at the hospital I passed the embryo, so I knew it was over. Had I stayed home, I would have saved myself some $$. Usually, if the bleeding starts like this, you'll get the clotting and other stuff that will help you figure out if you're passing tissue... if it just stays as blood and nothing else for a few days, then go see doc...
How horrible to happen twice in a row, I'm so sorry that you have to go through the worry, even if it's a good result the worry is torture. :hugs:

When I started to bleed I was awaiting my 2nd bloods to see whether I was mc - I rang the hospital and spoke to a Dr to see what I should do and she said to treat with pain killers and use pads, if the pain became unbearable even with pain killers or I was filling a pad every hour to go in - they can give stronger pain relief. I was fine at home - had warm baths and hot water bottles and took neurofen with codeine - I was worried that I wasn't mc and taking the pain killers would cause a prob but the next day my bloods confirmed I was indeed mc.

There is no harm in calling the hospital to see what they say and go from there - if they could offer you bloods or scan for reassurance of confirmation one way or the other that might help.

:hugs: Hoping for a good outcome - so sorry you're going through this worry.
