Hello,
Ive had a couple episodes of symptoms of low blood sugar right when I get up. Ill get this rush of sweatiness, heart racing, loose stools, lightheaded, dizzy, and ill rush to the fridge eat something quick and the symptoms seem to disappear. Is this onset diabetes(low blood sugar) or just needing to eat something. I am 5'4 108lbs haven't gained much, 17 weeks pregnant maybe I need to eat more or.....Im seeing a doctor Friday just wanted to know if this is a concern

Diabetes is actually high blood sugar, so it is doubtful that it is a symptom of the high blood sugar, but low and high blood sugar issues can be related.

I am a long-time hypoglycemic (low blood sugar), so imagine my surprise last pregnancy when I ended up with Gestational Diabetes! I was shocked, but my OB explained that the two issues just indicate a natural issue with insulin and sugar regulation.

It is definitely worth checking with your provider, and in the meanwhile if you are worried that you might not be eating enough, there are a lot of good 'pregnancy diet' resources online :) Just remember to eat regularly, even if you aren't feeling particularly hungry, and that low blood pressure can also cause some of the symptoms you mentioned. I have the low blood pressure situation too, which on the one hand is lovely because I don't have to worry about high blood pressure related issues, but some of the symptoms are icky there too.

Also - loose stools is probably not related to any of those things, and just a natural adjustment to all the physical changes taking place in your abdomen. Unfortunately, loose or constipated stool is incredibly common amongst all pregnant women!
